The Ducati DesertX: Unveiling a Powerhouse

Ducati’s DesertX, the first-ever Ducati equipped with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, symbolizes the manufacturer’s commitment to off-road performance. Powered by the potent Testastretta 11° desmodromic engine, the DesertX combines power, agility, and endurance, ideal for conquering the most challenging terrains.

For the Erzbergrodeo, the DesertX underwent tactical modifications to enhance its off-road aptitude. The fork and monoshock were revised to offer more suspension travel, and the Metzeler Six Days Extreme tyres, specifically designed for extreme enduro racing, were fitted to handle the demanding terrain of the race. These modifications, coupled with a special livery designed by the Centro Stile Ducati, ensured the DesertX not only participated but redefined the benchmarks for twin-cylinder bikes.
