RISER App
Elevating Adventure for Motorcyclists Worldwide
In an era where tech meets the open road, the RISER app offers adventure motorcyclists a way to combine the thrill of discovery with the convenience of digital planning. Created by bikers, for bikers, RISER aims to be the go-to platform for two-wheel enthusiasts who want to connect, explore, and relive their journeys. Developed by an international team in Austria, this app goes beyond navigation; it’s a virtual community hub, ride planner, and adventure log, filled with features designed specifically for long-distance riders. We tested RISER on two extensive rides—one through the U.S. Northeast and another from Germany to Spain—and were thoroughly impressed by how it transformed our experience on the road.
A Platform Built by Riders, for Riders
The RISER app stands out because it combines cutting-edge GPS and community-driven insights with the sensibilities only a fellow biker would understand. “This isn’t about getting from A to B quickly,” said one team member, “it’s about making the journey between A and B the adventure.” That’s the spirit of RISER: a focus on exciting routes, where every curve and backroad offers the chance for discovery. The app’s intuitive features, such as curvy-road navigation and offline map capabilities, ensure that riders can create their ideal journey, even in the most remote locations.
Key Features that Enhance Every Ride
Track and Document Every Adventure
The RISER app stands out because it combines cutting-edge GPS and community-driven insights with the sensibilities only a fellow biker would understand. “This isn’t about getting from A to B quickly,” said one team member, “it’s about making the journey between A and B the adventure.” That’s the spirit of RISER: a focus on exciting routes, where every curve and backroad offers the chance for discovery. Plan and Ride Together with PackRide
RISER’s social features, especially PackRide, provide a sense of community on the road. When riding in a group, PackRide allows riders to stay connected in real-time, seeing the exact locations of fellow riders. This ensures no one gets left behind and helps with coordinating breaks or refueling stops. During our trip across the Northeast, the PackRide feature allowed us to stay on top of the group’s pace, ensuring everyone enjoyed the journey without feeling pressured.
Re-Ride and Discover New Routes
The app’s Re-Ride feature lets users browse and recreate rides shared by others, offering endless inspiration. Just select a route, adjust it, and go. During our Germany-to-Pyrenees trip, RISER led us to remote European roads we’d likely have missed, making it feel like we had an experienced guide.
Unique Navigational Features for Adventurous Routes
RISER’s navigation system excels in offering a tailored riding experience. Instead of prioritizing efficiency or speed, RISER’s “curvy” and “supercurvy” algorithms guide riders along the most exciting paths, designed to thrill with twists and turns. These options let riders enjoy the finest roads, whether on gravel or tarmac, adding an extra layer of excitement to the adventure.
When using this feature across Germany and Spain, we found ourselves on stunning mountain passes and hidden forest roads that made each mile memorable.
RISER PRO: Advanced Tools for the Passionate Rider
For those who seek a deeper level of functionality, the RISER PRO subscription unlocks premium features such as offline maps, 3D map replays, and LiveTracking. The offline maps proved invaluable on our trip to the Pyrenees, allowing us to stay on course even in areas with little to no cell service. Meanwhile, the app’s reWind feature lets users relive their rides in 3D, adjusting playback speed and perspective to enjoy the ride from a bird’s eye view. It’s a fantastic way to share adventures with friends or simply relive a thrilling ride.
LiveTracking is another standout feature for both safety and sharing. It lets riders share their location in real time, allowing friends and family to track their progress. This feature not only brings peace of mind to loved ones but also keeps everyone updated on battery levels, helping ensure that a dead phone battery doesn’t leave you stranded.
Community Insights and User-Generated Knowledge
What truly sets RISER apart is its commitment to building a knowledge base for its users. Each route suggestion is informed by real user data, helping the app continuously improve its recommendations. The app adapts based on the frequency and popularity of routes, becoming smarter with each ride logged. This was particularly evident on our rides; while exploring lesser-known European routes, we found that RISER directed us toward more remote paths than in the U.S., where user data might still be sparse. American riders, the app will only get better as we log more local rides, so the more we use it, the richer it becomes.
An All-Inclusive Digital Motorcycle Community
Beyond route planning and tracking, RISER serves as a social network for the motorcycle community. Users can upload and share photos, route details, and personal milestones. Monthly challenges and achievements add a gamified element to riding, encouraging users to push their limits and connect with others. As one of the team members shared, “We wanted to make an app where riders don’t just pass through the community—they become part of it.”
Our Veredict
After testing the RISER app on two diverse rides, we found it to be an impressive tool for adventure motorcyclists. The app’s easy-to-use interface and well-designed features make it far more than a GPS tool—it becomes a digital companion that enriches every journey with shared experiences. From solo adventures to group tours and curvy-road quests, RISER delivers the perfect mix of technology and community to riders everywhere. Its robust features and unique approach to navigation ensure that you’ll never see the road the same way again. So, gear up, download the app, and let RISER take you on your next adventure.
