A Historic Return to Italy

As the 2024 edition of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) concludes in Spain, all eyes are already on Bergamo for 2025. The return of the NOCO FIM 6DAYS® to Italy marks a significant moment in the history of Enduro racing, as it is the longest-running off-road event on the FIM calendar.

Italy has a deep-rooted connection with the sport, and Bergamo is considered the heart of Enduro in the country. With picturesque mountainous landscapes, world-class trails, and Italy’s renowned hospitality, the 2025 event is expected to be one of the most highly anticipated editions in recent years.

Excitement Builds Among Organizers

During the official presentation in Galicia, Spain, FMI President Giovanni Copioli expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the upcoming edition.

“I am really proud to officially present the 2025 edition of the FIM 6DAYS®,” said Copioli. “Italy is a country with a great tradition in Enduro, and we will do our best to make the next ISDE memorable. I am sure that the collaboration between the FIM, FMI, and Moto Club Bergamo will bring excellent results. Thanks to all those who are already working hard to build the ninety-ninth edition of the event.”

The Moto Club Bergamo, acting as the main organizer, has already laid out an ambitious plan for the competition. Riders will face a daily course of approximately 200 kilometers, featuring a mix of technical and scenic elements that highlight the natural beauty of the region.

Moto Club Bergamo President Giuliano Piccinini emphasized the club’s commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience.

“A heartfelt thanks to the FIM and FMI for the opportunity given to our Moto Club to organize such an important event. Italy is the country of hospitality, and we want the 6DAYS® to be a good stay for everyone. We are working hard to give the best event. From a sporting perspective, the race will be suitable for both professionals, who can make the difference, and amateurs too.”

Bergamo’s Growing Role in Sports Tourism

Bergamo is no stranger to hosting major international sporting events, and local officials see the 6DAYS® as a key driver for further tourism and economic growth.

“We are glad to be the host of the 2025 edition of the 6DAYS® next summer,” said Mayor of Bergamo Elena Carnevali. “This event returns to Bergamo after thirty-nine years, following the two editions in San Pellegrino in 1968 and 1986. In recent years, our city and region have witnessed significant growth in tourism and sports appeal.”

Bergamo’s rich cultural and natural heritage will play a crucial role in the overall event experience.

“Bergamo is a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy, and the Venetian Walls surrounding the upper town are a UNESCO World Heritage Site,” added Carnevali. “The city is home to natural and cultural treasures that I am sure will captivate both participants and Enduro enthusiasts.”

“Major sporting events like the 6DAYS® are also a driving force for the promotion of the region’s sports and economy. Bergamo is ranked first in Italy for sports activity, and this has led us to begin the process of nominating Bergamo as the ‘European City of Sport 2027’.”

What’s Next?

With registration now underway, teams and riders must act quickly to secure their spots in what promises to be a landmark edition of the FIM 6DAYS®. Organizers are working closely with key industry partners to ensure an unforgettable experience for both riders and spectators.

“The Bergamo area is a point of reference not only from a sporting point of view but also from a productive and industrial one,” said FIM Marketing Director Fabio Muner. “As the International Motorcycling Federation, we are working with numerous and important partners that, I am sure, will contribute to the success of the FIM 6DAYS® in 2025.”
