Apple has announced an exciting new season of the beloved ‘Long Way’ motorbike adventure series, featuring the dynamic duo Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. Apple hints that this latest installment, likely ‘Long Way Home,’ marks the fourth chapter in their epic motorbike journeys and promises to bring fans closer to home with a thrilling 10-episode ride.

In this new season, McGregor and Boorman embark on a captivating journey from Ewan’s home in Scotland to Charley’s in England. However, true to their adventurous spirit, they won’t be taking the direct route. Instead, the pair will traverse more than 10,000 miles through the stunning landscapes of Scandinavia, the Arctic Circle, the Baltics, and continental Europe, culminating in a triumphant return to England.

Ewan McGregor shared his enthusiasm for the journey, saying, “On a rather tricky, sandy bit of ‘Long Way Up,’ Charley and I started daydreaming about another trip to keep our minds off the scary road at hand! This is that trip. Rusty old bikes and 10,000 miles of Scandinavia and Eastern and Central Europe. A big loop from my house in Scotland to Charley’s house in England. Long way home  magic.”

Charley Boorman echoed the excitement, adding, “It has been such a pleasure to get back on the road on motorcycles with my best friend, Ewan. Since the last one, we’ve talked about going on this trip on old bikes. Traveling around Scandinavia and Europe has been a blast on our beautiful bikes.”

The series will see McGregor and Boorman riding lovingly refurbished vintage motorbikes, taking viewers through more than fifteen countries, each offering spectacular scenery and some of the world’s most incredible driving roads. Along the way, they will immerse themselves in local cultures, meet the people, and partake in unique activities that showcase the rich diversity of the regions they traverse.

The ‘Long Way Home’ season is executive produced by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, along with their longtime collaborators David Alexanian and Russ Malkin, who also serve as directors. Fans of the series can look forward to another epic journey filled with friendship, exploration, and the thrill of the open road.

For those eager to relive the previous adventures, all three past seasons—’Long Way Round,’ ‘Long Way Down,’ and ‘Long Way Up’—are currently available for streaming on Apple TV+.
