Subir pendientes sueltas o gestionar la tracci\u00f3n en arena se trata de una aplicaci\u00f3n controlada del acelerador en lugar de abusar del embrague. La entrega de potencia sigue siendo amplia y utilizable, dando confianza a los Pilotos en diversas superficies. Donde difieren no es en el car\u00e1cter del motor, sino en c\u00f3mo se aplica esa potencia a lo largo de la distancia. La F 900 GS se siente inmediata y atl\u00e9tica. Con el paquete Enduro Pro disponible, los Pilotos obtienen una suspensi\u00f3n delantera Showa totalmente ajustable y un amortiguador trasero Sachs tambi\u00e9n totalmente ajustable con dep\u00f3sito de expansi\u00f3n y herrajes, pensado para Pilotos que ajustan la precarga y la amortiguaci\u00f3n seg\u00fan el terreno. El recorrido de la suspensi\u00f3n sigue siendo considerable, con 9.05&#8243; delante y 8.46&#8243; detr\u00e1s.
