Moto Guzzi Stelvio

Revived for 2024, the Moto Guzzi Stelvio, named after the iconic Alpine pass, makes a comeback with a 1,042cc transverse V-Twin engine, offering 115 hp and 77.4 lb-ft of torque. This engine, designed for versatility, features an isolated oil sump for improved ground clearance, catering to off-road demands.

The Stelvio’s design includes a unique aluminum single-sided swingarm and an ergonomically optimized universal joint, enhancing both off-road capability and rider comfort. The braking system comprises a 320mm front disc and a 270mm rear disc.

Despite its sturdy build, the Kove 800X PRO maintains a relatively lightweight profile at 407 lb (185 kg), thanks to the use of aerospace-grade materials. It boasts a substantial 5.28 gal (20-liter) fuel tank, enhancing its long-range capabilities. Additional features include pre-wiring for an electronic gearbox, a redesigned front brake lever for safety, a USB socket, and LED turn signals. The Kove 800X PRO represents an intriguing option in the adventure bike market, especially for those interested in the emerging Chinese motorcycle sector.

Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports

The 2024 updates to the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports, unveiled at EICMA 2023, bring significant enhancements in performance and functionality. Both models boast a 7% increase in maximum torque, available earlier in the rev range due to improved compression ratio, valve train, intake ports, and ECU programming. The renowned Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) has been refined for quicker downshifts and enhanced corner detection, offering a smoother transition between gears.

Functionality upgrades include tubeless tires for easier repairs and an adjustable larger windscreen, with the CRF1100L Africa Twin featuring a touchscreen-controlled rear spring preload adjustment. The Adventure Sports model gets a new 19” front wheel, enhanced weather protection with a broader front fairing and larger windshield, and a softer seat, augmenting its road-going capabilities.

Triumph Tiger 900 GT

The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 GT, showcased at EICMA, introduces several upgrades, enhancing its appeal in the adventure motorcycle segment. The revised ‘T-Plane’ triple engine boasts a higher compression ratio and a new cylinder head design, resulting in an increase to 106.5hp and 90Nm of torque. These improvements come with a 9% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions.

The GT and GT Pro models retain their chassis and suspension setup, featuring Marzocchi 45mm USD cartridge forks and gas shocks, providing 180mm and 170mm of travel, respectively. The GT Pro offers electronically adjustable rear suspension, while the base GT has manual adjustments. The bike’s comfort is enhanced with a redesigned seat, heated seats and grips, and a 7-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and a USB-C port.

Visual enhancements complement the performance upgrades, with the pricing remaining competitive. These updates underscore Triumph’s dedication to combining increased power, comfort, and advanced technology in the Tiger 900 GT.

Yamaha GYTR Ténéré 700 World Raid

The Performance GYTR Kit includes a titanium Akrapovič exhaust, a GYTR air filter and airbox, and a specialized ECU for notable performance improvements.

The Handling GYTR Kit transforms the Ténéré 700 World Raid into a rally-ready machine, featuring new wheels, updated suspension, Brembo brake calipers, Braking 300 mm disc brakes, and a revised radiator system. This kit is tailored to optimize handling and braking in challenging rally environments.

For the ultimate rally experience, the Rally GYTR Kit equips the bike with larger fuel tanks, roadbook and GPS instrumentation for rallies, a GYTR skid plate made of carbon fiber and Kevlar, and a sticker kit inspired by the GYTR Africa Eco Rally bike. These GYTR enhancements highlight Yamaha’s dedication to offering customizable options for riders seeking advanced performance, especially in off-road and rally settings.

Moto Morini X-Cape 1200

The Moto Morini X-Cape 1200, revealed at EICMA 2023, showcases Italian design and engineering excellence, delivering high performance while meeting Euro5+ standards. Its V2 Corsa Corta EVO engine offers a harmonious balance of power and efficiency.

Rider-focused features such as cruise control, shift assist, traction control, and blind spot radar enhance the riding experience. The bike boasts four customizable riding modes, an ergonomic seat, and an aerodynamic fairing. The robust build features a tubular trellis frame, a 630mm swingarm, spoked wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Trail tires, and Brembo brakes with a cornering ABS function.

Safety is prioritized with tire pressure sensors and the option to override the ABS for off-road use. The 7-inch TFT screen includes navigation, and full-LED headlights with cornering lights improve visibility. The Moto Morini X-Cape 1200 stands out in the adventure motorcycle segment, offering a unique blend of performance, comfort, and safety, wrapped in an exquisite Italian design.

Voge DSX900X

Unveiled at EICMA 2023, the Voge DSX900X represents a significant breakthrough for the Chinese motorcycle industry in the adventure segment. It embodies a modern maxi-enduro style characterized by aerodynamic lines and a distinctive front beak, aligning with the contemporary design trends of this category.

Powering the DSX900X is an 895 cc inline twin-cylinder engine, similar to those in BMW’s F 900 series, delivering 93.8 HP and 95 Nm of torque. It features a double overhead camshaft, liquid cooling, and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission with a standard up/down quickshifter.

The bike is equipped with advanced electronics like an electronic throttle, cruise control, and a Quickshifter gearbox. Its adjustable long-travel suspension and dual-channel ABS by Brembo, with the option to deactivate the rear ABS, ensure adaptability to various terrains. The DSX900X also features traction control that can be deactivated for a more dynamic ride.
Its chassis includes inverted forks and 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with semi-knobby tires. A full-color TFT display provides access to essential information, and other conveniences include a USB port, heated grips and seats, and aluminum side and top cases for storage.

The Voge DSX900X, with its blend of performance, technology, and design, showcases the advancements of Chinese manufacturers in the adventure motorcycle market, catering to the needs of enthusiasts.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, revealed at EICMA 2023, marks a significant evolution from the Himalayan 411. It features the new Sherpa 450 powertrain, a 451.65cc engine delivering 39.5bhp and 40Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch.

Enhancements include 43mm USD front forks and a monoshock rear suspension, both providing 200mm of travel, and improved braking with a 320mm front disc and a 270mm rear disc, accompanied by dual-channel ABS. A first for Royal Enfield, the Himalayan 450 offers switchable riding modes: Eco and two Performance modes, with varying ABS settings.

Technologically advanced, it introduces a color TFT display with Bluetooth, Google Maps navigation, and smartphone connectivity. Despite its advanced features and a larger 4.5 gal (17-litre) fuel tank, it weighs 6.60 pounds (3 kilograms) less than its predecessor, weighing 436 lb (198kg) and offering 230mm ground clearance and an 825mm seat height.
