Nov 7, 2024 | News

BMW Motorrad has introduced the BMW Concept F 450 GS, an exciting preview of a mid-range model aimed at riders with an A2 license. Set between the BMW G 310 and F 800/900 series, this bike is designed for accessible yet capable off-road and on-road adventures.

The Concept F 450 GS maintains the iconic BMW GS design language, characterized by a sporty and dynamic build. Dressed in a color scheme of Racing Blue metallic with red and white accents, this model mirrors the adventurous spirit and premium performance associated with BMW’s larger GS models, like the Trophy version of the R 1300 GS.

At the heart of the F 450 GS is a newly developed twin-cylinder engine that produces a full 48 hp with impressive low-end torque, tailored for the A2 class. This engine, built with innovative lightweight materials like magnesium, is compact and powerful, aiming for optimal performance across terrains.

BMW’s engineering team equipped the Concept F 450 GS with an adjustable upside-down fork and rally-inspired shock absorber, enhancing its off-road capability while ensuring responsive handling on the road. With a lightweight frame, the F 450 GS is crafted to meet the A2 class’s minimum weight requirement, coming in at just 386 lbs (175 kg).

Safety and functionality take priority, with features like BMW Motorrad ABS Pro, configurable riding modes, and a 6.5-inch TFT display offering seamless connectivity between the motorcycle and rider’s devices.

BMW plans to debut a production version based closely on the Concept F 450 GS in 2025, marking an exciting addition to the brand’s mid-range lineup.
