Aprilia Tuareg Racing Takes on Hellas Rally Raid with Cerutti and Montanari

Aprilia Tuareg Racing is gearing up for a new challenge at the Hellas Rally Raid, set to take place in Greece from May 27 to June 2. Fresh off their victory in the Italian MotoRally, the team is ready to tackle the seven demanding stages, including two marathon segments, in the rugged terrain of central Greece. This event serves as both a competition and a crucial preparation for the upcoming Africa Eco Race, with similar terrain expected in Morocco.

The Aprilia Tuareg bikes, meticulously developed in collaboration with GCorse and the Guareschi brothers, are set to confirm their prowess in this challenging rally. Jacopo Cerutti and Francesco Montanari will represent the team, both riding in the FIM Twin category on the Aprilia Tuareg 660.

Jacopo Cerutti, a seasoned competitor with previous experience in the Hellas Rally Raid, is optimistic about the race. “We are starting with a bike that we know well. I’ve ridden this race twice, not exactly in that area, but I’m still familiar with it. It is a rather demanding race because it lasts quite a few days. The average times are low, but there are a lot of rocks, so it becomes both physically demanding and hard on the bike. I’m confident. I’m headed to Hellas in shape and ready to go.”

For Francesco Montanari, this will be his first time competing in the Hellas Rally Raid. Despite being a newcomer, he is enthusiastic and well-prepared, having trained extensively with Cerutti. “An extremely long, but fantastic race awaits us. It will be the first time for me, but hearing Jacopo’s stories, it will be fun. I’ve been training with him and I’ve tried to maintain a good pace and to do extremely long runs. We’ll be arriving ready to go and we’ll give one hundred percent.”
