A Leap Forward in Adventure Motorcycling

Feb 15, 2024 | News

In an exhilarating unveiling, Triumph Motorcycles has introduced significant updates to its esteemed Tiger 1200 Explorer models for 2024, marking a new era for these iconic adventure bikes. The MY24 Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and Rally Explorer are set to redefine expectations with advanced engineering, enhanced comfort, and even more robust capabilities for both on-road and off-road adventurers.

At the heart of the 2024 updates is the Triumph’s hallmark 1160cc T-Plane triple engine, which now boasts increased refinement and an unparalleled low-speed control. This engine enhancement is complemented by a suite of modifications aimed at smoothing out the ride, including a revised crankshaft, alternator rotor, and balancer to boost engine inertia, alongside recalibrations for a more precise torque delivery at lower revs.

Triumph has focused on the engine and also on rider comfort. The Tiger 1200 Explorer variants now feature a redesigned rider seat with a flatter profile for additional space and reduced fatigue over long distances. The introduction of a longer clutch lever and the option for a lower seat height enhance ergonomics, making these bikes even more accessible and comfortable for a wide range of riders.

Chief Product Officer Steve Sargent emphasized the global appeal of these updates, noting that the Tiger 1200’s sales have more than doubled worldwide, thanks to its unmatched capability and the relentless pursuit of improvement by Triumph’s engineering team.

The Tiger 1200 Explorer series boasts dedicated wheel dimensions for enhanced ride capability, with the Rally Explorer equipped for off-road supremacy and the GT Explorer optimized for dynamic road riding. Both models feature large fuel tanks, lightweight chassis, and a comprehensive technology package including the Triumph Blind Spot Radar System, Showa semi-active suspension, and multiple riding modes.

Complementing the bikes’ impressive specifications is a dedicated range of over 50 genuine Triumph accessories, designed for capability, comfort, style, and protection. From full luggage systems developed in partnership with Givi to heated seating options and the Triumph Sena Bluetooth communication system, riders can tailor their Tiger 1200 Explorer to their exact needs.

Priced competitively, with the GT Explorer starting at $23,795 and the Rally Explorer at $24,895, both models come with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty, high service intervals, and the promise of an unparalleled riding experience.

Adventure enthusiasts and Triumph loyalists alike are invited to explore the new frontier of adventure motorcycling with the 2024 Tiger 1200 GT Explorer and Rally Explorer models. Availability in the USA is anticipated by the beginning of May, promising an exciting season ahead for adventurers ready to tackle the world on two wheels.
