On December 31, 2024, BTA Magazine welcomed the highly anticipated Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark 2025 to its crew. The delivery, which took place at the Ducati dealership in Bogotá, was nothing short of a cinematic experience.

As we arrived, the bike was awaiting, wrapped in a striking red cloth in the box. Removing the box revealed a second layer of black fabric sculpted to the bike’s form, building anticipation for the big reveal. Finally, as the black cover came off, the Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark appeared in all its glory to the electrifying tune of AC/DC’s “Big Gun” playing in the background—a fitting introduction for such a dynamic machine.

The Scrambler Icon Dark 2025 will play a crucial role in BTA Magazine’s upcoming adventures, exploring new routes to create exciting content for our readers. Though delivered without customizations, the bike will adapt to the demands of Colombia’s rugged terrain as our journey unfolds.

A Closer Look at the Icon Dark 2025

Ducati’s local representative was present to walk us through the bike’s features and operating guidelines. Key points included the 6,000 RPM limit during the first 1,000 km (633 miles) for proper engine break-in and explanations of the controls, fluid levels, and indicators.

One of the most striking features of the Icon Dark is its minimalist yet captivating black matte finish, which exudes sophistication. At just 174 kg, the bike is impressively light for an 800cc motorcycle, making it surprisingly agile in urban and off-road environments. The balance remained consistent after filling the gas tank, showcasing the bike’s well-engineered weight distribution.

Our initial test drive provided a glimpse of the bike’s potential. Navigating Bogotá’s city streets was a breeze, and the Scrambler handled traffic effortlessly.
